Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ElectrikLabs handles information when you use QBO-Clover-Bridge (the "Software"). It supplements the ElectrikLabs site-wide Privacy Policy.

1. Summary

QBO-Clover-Bridge is designed to operate locally on your computer. It does not require you to create an account with us, and we do not operate a cloud service that stores your QuickBooks or payment data on our servers.

2. Information processed locally

The Software may process the following information on your device:

  • Amounts you highlight, copy, or send from QuickBooks Online through the extension or hotkey workflow.
  • Clover configuration values such as device IP, serial number, POS ID, and OAuth tokens stored in local settings files.
  • Technical logs or error messages generated by the desktop application on your PC.

This information stays on your computer except when the Software sends a payment request to Clover or authenticates with Clover using credentials you provide.

3. Browser extension behavior

The extension runs on QuickBooks Online pages in your browser. When you click Charge, it sends the selected amount to the desktop helper at http://127.0.0.1 on the port configured in your local settings. The extension does not send page content to our servers.

4. Third-party services

When you sign in to Clover or submit a charge, Clover and its service providers process information according to their own privacy policies. QuickBooks Online is operated by Intuit under Intuit's privacy terms. We do not control those services.

5. What we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect customer names, full QuickBooks company records, card numbers, or payment card data through QBO-Clover-Bridge. Card data is handled by Clover on the payment device according to Clover's systems and your merchant setup.

6. Data retention

Configuration and OAuth tokens remain in your local application files until you delete them or uninstall the Software. You can remove the browser extension at any time from your browser's extension settings.

7. Security

You are responsible for securing your computer, local network, Clover device, and configuration files. Keep OAuth tokens confidential and restrict access to the PC running the bridge.
